KS2 Visit Annual Ploughing and Hedging Match

It was an extremely wet day when all the children in classes 3 and 4 travelled by coach to Little Alne to watch the Forest of Arden Agricultural Society’s 70th annual ploughing and hedging match but everyone had a great time.

Each child made a vegetable animal to enter into the children’s section of the competition and some children entered into other sections, produing a miniature garden in a seed tray or a decorated gingerbread person.

We were able to enjoy the show, despite the weather, and watched hedge laying classes, a ploughing class and a horse ploughing class.
